Lamine Sunny Marrah

My name is Lamine Marrah, but my family and friends call me Sonny, a name given to me by my Mom. I was born and raised in Sierra Leone, a small country located in the western part of Africa. I came to the United State of America in 2006 as a refugee due to a civil war in my country. I have been working as a Dental Assistant at Village Dental Care since June of 2014. Immediately after I graduated from Heald College, where I earned an Associate degree in Applied Science for Dental Assisting. I have recently completed and passed my State Board Exam to become a Registered Dental Assistant, and I am planning on going back to school to become a Dental Hygienist. The reason I choose and love this profession, is because of the confidence that it gives people to smile. I am happy and blessed to be part of a team that cares to brighten-up people’s smile and transform people’s life. I love to smile and spend time with family and friends, especially my wife and two sons. I enjoy working out, listening to music, dancing, playing soccer, playing soccer video games, watching movies and more.
